About us
Gunnedah Trade Wastes Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated waste removal specialist for all types of bulk and liquid waste removal. We are fully certified with Compass Assurance Services.
The business was founded in Gunnedah in 1975 by Max and Roslyn Hausfeld to service the wider Gunnedah areas in all forms of bulk waste and liquid waste removal since that time. Their eldest son, John Hausfeld, joined the business in 1980 working in the servicing, operational, and management of the business. In 2010 John took over the ownership and control of the business.
Staff — we’re all local!
Gunnedah Trade Wastes Pty Ltd employs all local staff: one full time and one part time office administrator and 4– 6 experienced drivers who drive and operate the fleet of trucks used to service the wider Gunnedah and surrounding areas.

All our workers are covered by our own Workers Compensation policy, carry a mobile for communications are aware of relevant safety and environmental requirements for mines and the workplace and are appropriately trained to ensure all work is conducted safely and efficiently as required.
Our vehicles — all mine compliant
All our vehicles are fully mine compliant with high-visible flags and UHF radios for fast communications. Our drivers wear approved personal protection equipment with high visible work wear and are mine compliant having completed mine and site inductions as required.
Front-lift packers for commercial bin delivery
Our front-lift packers are used to service permanent commercial bins located in and around Gunnedah, Mullaley, Tambar Springs, Werris Creek, Caroona, Quirindi, Willow Tree, Keepit Dam, Manilla and Boggabri areas.
Hiab/Flatbed truck for casual bin services
Our Hiab/Flatbed truck is used for delivery and pick up of casual bins, usually ordered by builders, landscapers and garden lovers, in and around Gunnedah.
Hook-lift trucks for heavy, bulk loads
Our hook-lift trucks are used to supply and service 10m hook lift waste removal bins which are designed to take heavy, bulky loads as it is low to the ground with the back doors opening for ease of loading and unloading.
Side-lift packers for sulo waste
Our side lift packers service bulk sulo waste removals.
Vacuum trucks for liquid waste removals
We have two vacuum trucks that are used for all liquid waste removals: one for septic waste removal; and the other for grease traps and other liquid waste products.
